Prawns & Okra Curry

Prawns Okra Curry   is a  traditional , Mangalorean coconut based curry made with okra (bhindi) and prawns.

Wash bhindis, Wipe them dry and chop them

For masala paste, roast chillies, coriander seeds, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper and methi seeds

Blend roasted spices with coconut and turmeric

Keep masala paste aside

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and chopped onions. Saute and add chopped bhindis

Add masala paste, tamarind pulp and water to adjust the consistency

Finally add prawns and cook for 8 to 10 mins

Prawns & Bhindi Curry - ready to serve
