Four o'clock plant | Gulbakshi

Four o’clock  flowers/ Mirabilis Jalapa is supposedly a native of Peru, but is commonly found in India.

The flowers bloom late afternoon/early evening. Hence, they are known as four o’clock flowers.

The plant produces single seeded, spherical, wrinkled fruits.

The fruit is green in the beginning and becomes black when it matures.

The black seeds from the plant fall into the pots and grow more plants.

These are low maintenance plants and produce plenty of flowers
