Gongura Dal

Gongura Dal - healthy dal with the goodness of red Sorrel leaves

Red Sorrel leaves,  washed and chopped

Split pigeon peas (tur dal) soaked for 30 minutes

Transfer soaked dal to a pressure cooker

Add chopped Sorrel leaves, onion, garlic, green chillies, turmeric powder, salt , water and cook.

Cooked Dal

For tempering, heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, chopped garlic and dry red chillies

Pour tempering into Gongura  dal
