Akki Roti - popular breakfast dish of Karnataka

Akki Roti is a popular breakfast dish of Karnataka. It is made using rice flour, veggies and spices.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Rice flour, onion, carrots, coriander leaves, green chillies, cumin seeds, curry leaves, oil and salt.

STEP 1

In a mixing bowl or a large plate, add rice flour, onions, carrots, coriander leaves, green chillies, cumin seeds, curry leaves and salt

STEP 2

Add water gradually and knead to make a soft dough

STEP 3

Divide the dough into equal sized balls

STEP 4

Place a dough ball on butter paper and shape into a thin flat roti using your fingers.

STEP 5

Place the roti on a hot pan

STEP 6

Drizzle oil around the roti and allow it to cook

STEP 7

Cook evenly on both sides

STEP 8

Remove from the pan and serve with coconut chutney
