Amritsari Udad Dal Pinni 

Udad dal soaked for 5 hours 

Blend udad dal to a fine paste 

Roast chopped nuts in ghee and keep aside 

Fry edible gum in ghee till they puff up. Crush and keep aside.

Heat ghee in a pan 

Add udad dal paste  and cook on a low flame while stirring continuously 

Udad dal attains a crumbly texture 

Add wholewheat flour and saute for few minutes

Add edible gum 

Add mawa and cook for 5 to 7 minutes  . Keep aside 

In a saucepan, add jaggery and water 

Jaggery syrup with one-string consistency

Pour jaggery syrup into udad dal mixture 

Shape the mixture into pinnis as per desired shape
