Chana Dal Sundal

Sundal - a stir-fried South Indian snack made especially during Navratri

Soak Chana Dal in water for 2 hours

Drain and keep aside

Cook chana dal till it becomes tender

Drain and keep cooked chana dal aside

Heat oil  and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add curry leaves, red chillies and hing. Saute for few seconds.

Add cooked chana dal and salt

Add fresh coconut and mix
