Dalitoy
is a simple, flavourful Konkani style dal made with minimum ingredients.
Wash and soak tuvar dal
Transfer soaked dal to a pressure cooker. Add salt and turmeric powder
Pressure cook the dal for 3 to 4 whistles
Whisk the dal
Add slit green chillies, asafoetida and bring it to a boil.
For tempering, heat coconut oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies
Pour the tempering into the dal
