Blend roasted chana dal to a fine powder. Keep aside.
In a bowl, add puffed rice.
Add water and keep it soaked for a minute.
Squeeze out the water from puffed rice.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add peanuts. I have used ¼ cup of peanuts as I like lot of roasted peanuts in this dish. You can adjust the quantity of peanuts as per your preference.
Saute till the peanuts are roasted well.
Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and chopped green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
Add chopped onion. Saute till the onion turns golden brown in colour.
Add chopped tomato. Saute till the tomato turns mushy.
Add turmeric powder, salt and sugar.
Add a tablespoon of water and mix well.
Add washed and drained puffed rice. Give a quick mix.
Add roasted chana dal powder and mix.
Finally add lemon juice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve immediately.
