Wash the potatoes and peel them.
Cut the potatoes into slices (neither too thick nor too thin).
Keep the potatoes immersed in water.
To prepare the masala, in a plate add red chilli powder,turmeric powder, asafoetida, lemon juice and salt. Add a tbsp of water and mix well.
Coat the potato slices with this masala paste. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
For the outer coating, mix together rava, rice flour, saltand red chilly powder.
Coat each potato slice with this rava rice flour mixture.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Place the rava coated potatoslices in the pan.
Cover the pan and cook until one side of the potato slicesare fried.
Flip the potato slices. Cover the pan and let it cook on the other side.
Remove fried potatoes from the pan and place them on absorbent paper.
Serve Potato Fry with dal chawal or as side dish with your meals.
