Peel and grate bottle gourd. Squeeze the water from the grated bottlegourd.
Crush the green chillies and ginger. Keep aside.
In a mixing bowl,add grated and squeezed out bottle gourd.
Grate onion, squeeze out the water from onions and add into the bowl.
Add wholewheat flour, semolina and gramflour.
Add crushed coriander seeds, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, crushed green chillies and ginger, turmeric powder, salt, baking soda, sugar, oil and chopped coriander leaves.
Add few drops of water. Mix well and knead into a smooth dough.
Shape the dough into cylindrical logs and place it on a greased plate.
Place the plate in the steamer and steam for15 minutes.
Allow the steamed rolls to cool and cut into pieces.
For the tempering, heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
Add muthias into the tempering and give a gentle mix.
Add chopped coriander leaves and mix.
Serve hot with chutney or as it is.
