In a bowl, add rice, udad dal and methi seeds. Add water and rinse few times. Drain the water.
Add fresh water and let the rice and udad dal soak for 6 to 7 hours.
After 7 hours, transfer soaked rice and udad dal to a mixer jar alongwith sprouted ragi.
Add little water and blend to a fine paste.
Transfer the batter to a vessel/bowl. Add salt and mix well. Set the batter aside to ferment for 10 to 12 hours.
Once the batter is fermented, it is ready to use.
This batter can be used to make both idlis and dosas.
For idlis, you can use the batter as it is. For dosas, you'll need to thin it down by adding some water.
Take a small portion of the batter in a bowl, add water, and mix well.
Pour ladleful of batter onto a hot dosa pan,cover, and cook on low heat.
You can drizzle some ghee around the dosa for added flavor.
Sprouted Ragi set dosa is ready to be served.
