Peel the yam. Cut yam into thin even, slices. Wash thes lices well. Keep them immersed in water till the time you prepare the masala paste.
To make the masala paste, in a plate, add ginger garlic paste, turmericpowder, 3 tsp red chilli powder, salt and tamarind pulp Mix well.
Coat the yam slices with this masala paste.
To prepare the outer coating, in a plate, add rava, rice flour, 1 tsp red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.
Coat each slice of yam with this rava rice flour mixture.
Heat oil in a pan.
Place the yam slices in the pan.
Fry on both sides until they turn golden and crispy.
Serve hot with dal rice.
