Wash and soak chana dal and toor dal for 3 to 4 hous.
After 4 hours, drain the water and transfer soaked lentils to a mixer jar.
Add chopped green chillies and ginger.
Blend the lentils without adding water to a coarse paste.
In a mixing bowl, add the lentils paste. Add chopped dil leaves, chopped coriander leaves,chopped curry leaves, fresh coconut, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, salt and asafoetida. Mix well.
Shape the lentil spaste into oval shaped dumplings.
Place the dumplings in a steamer. Steam for10 to 12 minutes.
Drizzle ghee over Nuchina Unde and serve with coconut chutney.
