  • 1 cup jaggery powder
  • 3 to 4 cardamoms
  • 7 tbsps ghee

Instructions

  • Peel the chana skins and discard the skin.
  • Blend peeled chanas to a fine powder. This is our homemadesattu. Set this aside.
  • Heat a pan. Add dry fruits and seeds. Roast on low heat tillthey turn crunchy.
  • Allow roasted dry fruits to cool completely. Transfer them to a blender jar and blend to a coarse powder. Keep aside.
  •  Crush the cardamoms to a fine powder and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan and add the sattu. Roast on low heat, adding ghee gradually in small quantities.
  • Saute on low heat until it changes its colour and startsleaving the sides of the pan.
  • Once it reaches this stage, take it off the heat and allowit to cool completely .
  • To the roasted sattu, add dry fruit powder, jaggery powder and cardamom powder. Mix everything thoroughly so that all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Once mixed, shape them into laddoos. If the mixture feels a bit dry, you can add a little more ghee to ensure the laddoos hold their shape.
  • Garnish with dried rose petals for a festive touch. Store in an airtight container.
