Step-wise instructions with pictures

Place a sieve over a bowl and add the jowar flakes.

 Pour 1 cup of water over the flakes to rinse them. Set aside to drain.  

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for a few seconds.

 Add chopped onions and sauté on low heat until they soften.

Add chopped carrots and fresh peas. Mix well.

 Season with turmeric powder and salt. Pour in ½ cup of water, cover the pan, and cook until the vegetables are tender.

Add the soaked jowar flakes to the pan. Mix gently, ensuring everything is combined. Adjust salt if needed.

Turn off the heat, add lemon juice, and mix.

Garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
