Amla or Indian gooseberry is a storehouse of nutrition and has multiple health benefits. Amla being rich in Vitamin C is great for your immunity, heart, skin and hair. They are available in plenty around this time of the year and should definitely be included in your diet. They can be consumed in the form of juice, chutney, murabba etc. Lets take a look at the recipe for Amla juice.
10 to 12 Indian gooseberries (Amla)
1 tbsp chopped ginger (adrak)
2 to 3 tbsp jaggery, cut into tiny pieces (gud)
Rock salt as per taste (kaala namak)
- Wash the amlas and chop into tiny pieces. Discard the seeds.
- Into a mixer jar, add the chopped amlas, chopped ginger, jaggery and 1 cup of water.
- Blend to a smooth paste.
- Pass it through a strainer and extract the juice.
- Add rock salt and mix.
- Pour into glasses and serve.
